Pete Gardiner - All These Things

  March 11, 2016

2015 was a big year for Pete Gardiner, which saw him tour with Lawson around the UK, in a stream of packed gigs and festivals. He also released his debut EP, ‘Idols’, to much acclaim. Now the singer songwriter from Newtownards, Northern Ireland, is set to release his debut album, from which his new single, ‘All These Things’ is the lead track.

Pete’s a songsmith, with his songs lyrically clever and melodic, full of love and satire. His passion for music began at age 6 when he first heard Slash; he got his first guitar at 13, and developed a serious interest in rock music. His music however is probably more influenced by Dylan and Cohen than Guns’n’Roses, and there’s also a hint of latter day musicians such as Foy Vance, and Father John Misty.

Pete’s album is produced by Irish producer Tommy McLaughlin, who’s known for his work with Villagers, and Soak, with ‘All These Things’ mixed by Ash Howes, who’s worked with everyone in the business, from One Direction and Busted, to Roxy Music, The Eurythmics, and Kylie Minogue.

2016 is looking like an exciting year for Pete Gardiner – apart from his album, he’s also been commissioned to write the title track, alongside Clannnad’s Pól Brennan, for a major Irish movie this year.
